If you’re looking for a low profile gripper when space is a problem, checkout our new Series MHF2-X83. Now available with short, medium or long stroke options plus, short or long adjustment types as standard these low profile air operated grippers also offer three opening and closing finger stroke adjustment positions. With selectable axial or side piping, plus direct mounting options on four surfaces, including bracket free auto-switch mounting on two sides, the MHF2 –X83 range, which are around 66% lower in height than our normal MHZ2 range, really do deliver outstanding performance with excellent mounting flexibility.

This month sees the launch of our new range of lightweight, aluminium bodied power clamp cylinders, Series CKZ3T. Developed initially for the automotive industry, but suitable for welding applications and environments exposed to sparks from arc or spot welding, Series CKZ3T clamp cylinders, which can be used with a choice of 12 clamp arm options, are up to 39% lighter when compared to our existing Series CKZT range. Available in 50mm and 63mm bore size models and with a comprehensive range of standard opening angles (from as small as 15º) these double acting cylinders are constructed with a rubber bumper on the clamping side thereby decreasing the effects of impact when unclamping. Designed with a rounded top cover, to help reduce the potential build-up of weld spatter, Series CKZ3T can also be specified with either a metal or rubber cover (UL94 standard V0 compliant) as standard. Series CKZ3T cylinders are available with or without cassette type proximity switches (Turck or P&F options) and with single bolt cassette fastening, ensuring quick switch installation and remova.

Industry requests for a lighter, more compact, heavy duty stopper cylinder for smooth pallet deceleration have been answered following the launch of our new stopper cylinder - Series RS2H. Based on our popular RSH1 cylinder range, we have taken the best performance features of this model and added some further design improvements to create a stopper cylinder range that is up to 22% lighter and 9mm shorter in tube length. As the RS2H´s energy absorption level can be individually set for each application, using an in-built rotating adjustment dial, these cylinders can also be selected with either resin or carbon steel roller options making them particularly suitable for both light or heavy weight pallet applications. Series RS2H are fully interchangeable with RS1H cylinders and can accommodate our small D-M9 or magnetic filed resistant D-P3DW auto switches, in circular grooves on three of the cylinder’s four sides. Available in bore sizes of 50, 63 and 80mm and standard stroke lengths of 30 and 40mm, these single and double acting, or double acting with spring cylinders really do deliver heavy duty stopper performance.

Following the success of our “easy to set” LE electric actuator ranges, we are pleased to release our new programless controller – Series LECP1. Developed for use with our rapidly expanding LE actuator range, this new controller comes with pre-set parameters, thereby completely eliminating the need for programming resulting in simplified and reduced actuator setup time. And, with actuator speed, acceleration and positioning being set using a trimmer switch on the LECP1´s control panel, the need to be connected to a pc or teaching box is no longer required. With 16 speed and acceleration settings, 14 positioning points and 3 holding and pushing force options, the LECP1 controller is suitable for use with our electric LE gripper, slide table, rod, and slider type ranges, plus our new LER rotary tables.

Customer demands for a range of smaller pin clamp cylinders for compact machine applications have now been answered with the release of two new pin clamp options Series CKQG32 and Series CKU32. Offering a comprehensive range of guide pin diameters from 7.5mm to 20mm and suitable for use with a wide range of work materials – with hole diameters from 8mm to 20mm, these clamp cylinders are particularly suitable for small, lightweight clamping and material handling applications such as those often found in the car industry. Available in either 30mm or 100mm clamping heights, these cylinders can accommodate two magnetic filed resistant auto-switches on two surfaces of the CKU32 model and on any of the four surfaces of the CKQG32 Series.

Following the success of our “easy setting” LE electric actuator range, we are pleased to unveil our latest addition - a compact, high performance, electric rotary actuator with position, speed, acceleration/deceleration control – Series LER. Suitable for all handling applications, with smooth, shock-less, high speed actuation up to 420º/s and acceleration up to 3000º/s2, Series LER actuators are delivered with their own controller with pre-set actuator parameters, reducing both installation and programming time. With up to 64 positioning points, a 320º positioning angle and positioning repeatability of ±0.05º as standard, the LER models are available in both standard and high precision types, with a maximum rotating torque of 10N.m.

Welcome to our new compact, round bodied, space saving, air cylinder - Series CG3. Based on our popular CG1 cylinder range, this double acting, single rod series is up to 37mm shorter in overall length than comparable compact models due to its integrated head cover and tube. And if space is still a problem, CG3´s can be ordered with a female rod end as a standard option, thereby reducing the cylinder length by a further 14mm (depending on the selected model). This reduction in size, coupled with a newly designed cylinder body, also makes the CG3 considerably lighter – up to 24% - than a comparable CG1 cylinder models. Available in bore sizes 20mm to 100mm, these cylinders, with the exception of the two larger bores sizes (80mm and 100mm) can also be mounted with our D-M9*W, dual colour, solid state autoswitches.

Requests for a compact, lightweight, clean profiled air cylinder for use in general automation applications have been answered with the launch of our new Series CM3 range. Developed from our popular Series CM2 models, our R&D engineers have made the CM3 cylinders up to 66mm shorter and 21% lighter, without any reduction in operational performance, when compared to our CM2 range. Available in 20, 25, 32 and 40mm bore sizes, with pivoting single clevis, trunnion mounting and female thread end options as standard, the new CM3 range, which uses shock resistant tubing, offer the perfect solution when used with our small, dual colour D-M9*W autoswitches.

Customer requests for a bigger, simple to use, electric actuator for load tranfers up to 60 kgs have been answered with the launch our new slider type Series LEFS40. Joining our existing LEF models, the new S40 option which uses a ball screw drive construction, is available in stroke lengths between 200 -1000mm and can transfer horizontal loads of 50kgs or 60kgs at speeds of 20-500mm and 10-250mm respectively. Compact in design and easy to set, mount and operate, with up to 64 programmable positional points, these powerful electric actuators also feature a drop prevention function to ensure safe workpiece handling in the event of power supply failure.

Reduced actuator performance, due to airborne contaminate entering a cylinder’s internal parts, are common in many applications where dust or fine powder particles are present. However, thanks to our R&D engineers, we now have a solution with an extended range of standard micro powder resistant cylinder options – XC92. Simply by adding two lube retainers to the cylinder’s rod cover, dust or powder particles of 30 microns or less are effectively stopped from penetrating the cylinder and operational life is extended by up to four times more. Dust resistant XC92 options are now available of a range of standard cylinders including, a round type (Series CM2), two compact cylinder models (Series CQS/CQ2) and a compact guide type (Series MGP).

Machine builders using electric slide tables for positioning, aligning, transporting and pick and place applications now have a space saving option following the launch our new Series LESHD. Developed for general industry use, these slide tables are around 45% narrower than previous SMC models but still offer outstanding performance. With adjustable speed, thrust and positioning up to 64 points, these actuators can operate at speeds up to 400 mm/s, with positioning repeatability of ± 0.05 mm and thrust between 15N to180N depending on the selected model.

If you need an electric actuator and space is an issue, why not checkout our new Series LEYD. Designed for use in the narrowest of spaces, the cylinder’s electric motor has been placed at the end thereby dramatically reducing the actuators overall height. Available in three sizes with maximum stroke lengths of 300mm, 400mm and 500mm and with maximum thrust of 141N, 452N and 707N respectively, Series LEYD can operate at speeds up to 500mm/s and offer positioning repeatability of ± 0.02 mm. Adjustable up to a maximum of 64 points, this series of compact electric actuators are suitable for a range of applications including positioning and pushing control.

If you need a fast cylinder with high levels of water resistance then simply look no further than our new Series RHC –XC93. Available in 32 and 40mm bore sizes, this powerful cylinder, which can move light loads at up to 3000mm/s, is fitted with a fluororubber scraper to prevent water entering the cylinder thereby extending the cylinder’s operational performance by five times when compared to our standard RHC models. Further design features include the introduction of a lube retainer which coats the piston rod with a light grease film for improved lubrication and the availability of a stainless steel rod and rod end nut type option – Series RHC-XC93S. As with all high performance cylinder’s smooth cushioning is an absolute must and our Series RHC-XC93 models can absorb 10 to 20 times more energy than a general purpose cylinder.

If you need a high quality, easy to programme, electric gripper with IP50 enclosure compatibility then look no further than our new Series LEHZJ. With similar operational performance and energy saving benefits as our LEHZ electric gripper range, our new LEHZJ model has been designed with a sealed dust cover to eliminate dust, grease spatters or machine cutting particles from entering the internal parts of the gripper. Depending on your application, the dust cover can be selected from a choice of materials including chloroprene rubber, fluororubber or silicon rubber and as the cover has been designed without any protrusions the gripper will not interfere with other installed equipment. The LEHZJ range is particularly suitable for eliminating dust contamination of the gripper in paper, moulding and ceramic industries

Precise positioning and thrust control are just two of the main performance features of our new Series LEYG - the latest addition to our rapidly expanding, easy to programme, LE* electric actuator range. Developed for transfer and assembly applications, these extremely rigid guide rod actuators can operate up to speeds of 500 mm/s, with positional repeatability position of ±0.02mm and with a thrust up to 707N depending on the selected model. Programmable up to 64 points, the position, speed and force can be adapted for the needs of almost any application. Available in slide or ball bush bearing types, with both vertical and horizontal mounting options, these actuators are ideal for moment load and stopper applications.

Building on the success of our recently launched LES electric actuator range our R&D engineers have now developed a symmetrical electric slide table LES#L in addition to our existing LESH option. When parallel slide tables are required and lack of available space is a problem, these new symmetrical slide tables can be mounted opposite our standard models without cable interference. Designed for general industrial machinery use, these actuators are particularly suitable for both positioning and pick and place applications.

Many of you will be familiar with our top selling guided cylinders - Series MGP. With their high load capabilities, long stroke options, dual port locations and switch mounting grooves on both sides, this comprehensive cylinder range has been further extended with the launch of two more made-to-order options. Now, these cylinders can be ordered with symmetrical – right hand side or left hand side – ports as –X144 option, allowing even more machine design flexibility. Additionally, for applications requiring the MGP to be mounted from the bottom surface, our engineers have also developed our – XC82 option which alleviates the need to machine holes for the guide rods as they do not protrude from base when the cylinder rod is retracted.

Following a review of our popular CQ2 compact cylinder Series our R&D engineers have totally redesigned the complete cylinder range to bring you even more performance benefits and increased cylinder options. The major difference between the new CQ2 range and the old model is the totally redesigned body, which offers improved auto-switch mounting possibilities plus an overall reduction of cylinder weight of between 5 -13% depending on the model. Now, all CQ2 cylinders from Ø 32 to 200mm are designed with slide in grooves which can accommodate auto-switches on all four cylinder sides without the need for auto-switch brackets. And, for smaller bore sizes between Ø 12 and 25mm, slide in grooves have also been integrated in the new body design to accommodate bracket free auto-switches on two surfaces. Designed for use with our simple to set, dual colour, solid state auto-switches, the integrated auto-switch channel ensures total protection against potential accidental damage and improved health and safety benefits during both installation and maintenance procedures.

Completing the line-up of our popular mechanically jointed rodless cylinders, Series MY3A with rubber bumper and Series MY3B with air cushion types, we are pleased to offer our customers even more bore size options - Ø20, 32 and 50mm. Now available in seven bore sizes from Ø16 to 63mm, these compact double acting cylinders, which are designed for general machinery applications, incorporate a unique piston design which helps achieve outstanding cylinder height reductions. Ideal for transporting heavy work pieces with large moment loads when combined with external guides, the Series MY3B can also now be ordered with our RJ soft type shock absorber as a made-to-order option – XB22.

If you´re looking for a big bore, double acting, air cylinder with lots of available options then simply look no further than our newly extended Series CS2 cylinder range. Available in three bore sizes; Ø125, Ø140 and Ø160 mm, these cylinders can now be ordered as a smooth cylinder type Series CS2Y for low pressure, low speed applications and also as a double rod type, Series CS2W for powerful pushing and pulling operations. And with a further 12 additional made-to-order options including extended temperature resistant models, dual stroke cylinders, special port position options, alternative mounting and tie rod lengths, plus the additional of stainless steel material component parts for harsh environments and fluorine seal materials, these big bore cylinders can handle a complete range applications needs.

Following the successful launch of our Series RJ shock absorber range at the end of 2008, we are now pleased to unveil even more options including additional short stroke versions of 5, 6 and 10mm for applications requiring less energy absorption and /or collision speed. Developed for use with our air slide table, rodless and rotary cylinder ranges and offering outstanding durability and cushioning performance, these new models will now compliment our existing standard 6, 8 and 12mm stroke models. And, should you need to protect the work piece from potential marking from the impact of the bare piston rod, we can now offer the complete RJ model range with urethane made caps.

Following customer requests for range of easy to maintain rotary clamp cylinders with a good selection of stroke variations and dual mounting options, our R&D engineers have simply taken the best features of two existing SMC products – Series MK and MK2 - and put them together in our newly amalgamated and improved Series MK. Available in bore sizes from 12 to 63mm and in clamp stroke lengths up to 50mm depending on the selected model, the new MK Series helps answer our customer’s needs with the option of both body and through hole mounting selections and easy maintenance possibilities with fully replaceable seals and guide pins. Designed for use with our compact D-M9 auto switch, which can be mounted on all four sides (only 2 sides in the case of 20 and 25mm) these new rotary clamp cylinders when required can also be used in conjunction with our magnetic field resistant auto switch Series D-P3DW.

With an on-going commitment to continuous improvement our R&D team have once again taken a successful product – our Series MU Plate Cylinder – and improved it even more. Now these popular double acting, single rod cylinders, which are available in bore sizes between 25 - 63 mm, have been redesigned to accommodate our smallest D-M9 auto switch within the cylinders body profile. Therefore, it is possible to mount the auto switches in any direction and without any protrusion, which is extremely beneficial as the cylinders can be mounted closely together for maximum space saving benefits.

Following the success of our popular ISO 21287 compliant Series C55 compact cylinder we are pleased to announce the release of two bigger 80mm and 100mm bore size options. Ideal for general automation applications, the C55 range is available with stoke lengths from 5mm up to 150mm and with rubber bumper, piston wear rings and rod bushing as standard they are the perfect double acting, single rod cylinder when high load performance is required. With auto switch mounting options on all four sides, these cylinders provide a flexible solution to meet even the most demanding machine designs.

CNA2 is a switchover from existing model CNA. It incorporates the features of the existing product plus improvements in several aspects such us increased cushion capacity, service life and lighter weight. CNA2 is applicable in any application requiring a locking cylinder: intermediate stops, emergency stops, drop prevention.

Following the success of our popular Series MXQ Air Slide Table, our R&D experts have developed this product even further with the launch of our new, completely reversible, Series MXQR. Previously, customers ordering an MXQ had to specify, at the time of their order, the exact side they wanted the adjuster and piping to be located. This made any last minute changes to the design specifications difficult to accommodate, often resulting in delays or the need to hold duplicate stocks. However, with our new Series MXQR, this issue is now a thing of the past as this innovative range of slide tables is completely reversible – a standard version and a symmetrical version in just one product. Available in a range of bore sizes from 6mm to 25mm and with various cushion options, this air operated, double acting, slide table really does offer total flexibility and real cost saving benefits.

Machine builders who use a double acting cylinder and dual position solenoid valve for pushing and clamping applications now have even more space and time saving options with the addition of two more bores sizes (50mm/63mm) to our popular Series CVQ range. Developed initially to provide a unique all-in-one compact cylinder/valve system, we have simply taken our most popular compact CQ2 cylinder and V100 solenoid valve and literally built them together in one single unit. By adopting this innovative approach, there is no need to allocate space for either the valve or the necessary piping and by eliminating the piping, further performance benefits are also achieved such as reduced pressure drop and air consumption plus improved response speeds. The CVQ Series is now available in 32, 40, 50 and 63mm bore sizes and with low power consumption 24 or 12 V solenoid valve options.

Our new Series CVQM guide rod cylinder – which is fully interchangeable with our popular CQ2 cylinder range - has been specially developed for pushing and clamping applications, where strong lateral load resistance and high non rotational accuracy is required. With its fully integrated solenoid valve it offers great space saving benefits, fast response speeds and installation costs are kept to a minimum as there is no need for traditional piping connections between the cylinder and valve. Available in bore sizes of 32,40,50, 63mm, these double acting air cylinders can be fitted with an auto switch on any one of the three available sides and operate between minimum and maximum pressure ranges of 0,15 – 0,7 Mpa.

Designed initially for the automotive industry our latest compact magnetic field resistant auto switch – Series D-P3DW – offers even more performance advantages including improved maintenance, smaller bore size capabilities and outstanding magnetic filed resistance. Currently the smallest magnetic field resistant auto switch on the market, Series D-P3DW can be mounted on both larger cylinders up to 125mm as well as smaller cylinders including 25mm or 32mm options. And, thanks to its specially designed mounting bracket – which is fixed to the cylinder body – fast and efficient maintenance is ensured without the constant need to check or readjust the switches position following their replacement. Series D-P3DW is ideal when used in AC welding machines of 16000 A or lower and because of its outstanding magnetic field resistance, the switch can be used even when the distance between the welding conductor and the auto switch is 0mm. Available with a spatter proof, flame resistant cable, this two colour solid state auto switch range can be mounted on both round groove and square groove cylinder types.

One of the challenges faced by machine builders is the repeated request for smaller and more compact machines. However, major size reductions are often restricted by the performance of the components used in the machines construction. As the world leaders in pneumatics, we are very much aware of these issues and our new Series CQU compact plate type cylinder meets this challenge with both power and space saving performance. Designed for use in general automation applications, the CQU range has been designed with a unique - patented - elliptical retaining ring, which eliminates the need for cylinder end caps. This makes the CQU range extremely compact and lightweight - up to 15% shorter than our Series MU plate cylinder, 40% narrower than our CQ2 compact cylinder ranges. Ideal for tight pitch mounting applications or where you need to mount a cylinder with a low centre of gravity, Series CQU can also be used with an external guide. Designed for use with a small auto switch – which can be fitted in 4 directions – Series CQU can also be mounted using vertical, horizontal, foot and double clevis options.

Light load applications requiring quick low speed stops now have the perfect solution thanks to our new Series RJ soft type shock absorbers. Designed initially for use with our air slide table, rodless and rotary cylinder ranges, Series RJ ensures softer absorption making it ideal for small conveyors which often require soft stop performance. Fully interchangeable with our existing Series RB absorber range, this new series – with their patented spiral groove design - offer outstanding durability and a 30% reduction in cushioning time. Available in three energy absorbency options, 1, 3 and 10 (J) and stroke lengths of 6, 7 and 12mm respectively, Series RJ really is the ideal choice when soft absorption is a necessity.

Following the success of our Series CUJ mini free-mount cylinders we are pleased to announce the launch of three more bore size options. This now means that these extremely popular compact cylinders can be ordered in bore sizes of 12, 16 and 20mm in addition to the previously available 4, 6, 8, and 10mm options. For those of you who are unfamiliar our CUJ cylinders, thanks to their centralised wiring and piping design, any of the four faces can be used for mounting ensuring maximum space saving benefits. Series CUJ can also be ordered for clean room applications making these RoSH compliant cylinders the perfect all round solution when space and mounting restrictions are an issue.

Following the success of our popular CKQ Pin Clamp Cylinders for automatic welding line applications, we are pleased announce the launch of our newly extended, improved and updated CKQG/P Pin Clamp model ranges. Now, thanks to the development of this new series, we have increased the number of guide pin type options to 55 versions making them even more compatible for a broad range of workpiece configurations. Further features of this new series include reduce body interference, thanks to the introduction of 4 shim options making height adjustment possible, more accurate workpiece clamping, reduced damping surface area and the fact that both positioning and damping can be performed at the same time.

This new extension to our popular MY2H/MY2HT rodless cylinder ranges features a stroke adjusting unit with adjusting bolt specifications and can be ordered using the following code (-XB20). While the cylinder maintains the same compact, low profile design and load capacity of the previous rodless range, the new adjusting bolt decreases the time delay produced by shock absorption.

Designed to help complete SMC´s comprehensive rotary actuator ranges, the unique shaft type, Series CRQ2X, and the table type, Series MSQX share many of the same features as SMC´s popular CRQ2 and MSQ rotary actuator ranges. However with the addition of special constructional elements such as special surface treatment, slow speed grease and rubber cushion removal, these impressive rotary actuators can be adjusted to provide stable slow speed lurch free rotation as low as 5 seconds to complete a 90º turn.

If you’re familiar with our existing Rotary Clamp Cylinder ranges – Series MK and MK2 – and are looking for a more robust version with the added possibilities of horizontal mounting, simply look no further than our new Series MK2T Rotary Clamp Cylinder. Designed following customer requests, this new double guide type cylinder is the perfect choice when improved rotational accuracy is a necessity and when extra strength is a must. And thanks to the MKT2´s double groove rotational designed construction, the allowable moment of inertia has been increased by up to 10 and 3 times respectively when compared to our previous MK and MK2 cylinders.

Applications such as pick and place which often require a compact dual rod cylinder with guide function now have even more choice with additional made-to-order options now available on our popular CXSJ cylinder range. CXSJ-XB6 has been designed for use in high temperatures (-10 to +150ºC) thanks to its special seal material and internal grease. CXSJ-XB13 is our low cylinder speed option which provides no stick-slip performance at driving speeds as low as 5mm/s. Standard cylinders can also be ordered with a spacer to create an intermediate stop (CXSJ-XC19), our CXSJ-XC22 models offers high chemical resistance thanks to their fluoro rubber seal material and finally our CXSJ-XC6 provides customers with a stainless steel option.

Fully interchangeable with our existing CLK1 products, these clamp cylinders have 2mm shorter cylinder lengths and improved cover configuration. Available with NPT Thread options as standard, these cylinders can be connected from 3 different piping port positions. With their improved lock opening performance, which enables easier assembly and maintenance, our CLK2 Series are the perfect choice for holding applications in either a clamped or unclamped state.

Machine builders who traditionally use a cylinder and solenoid valve for pushing and clamping applications now have a space and time saving solution with our new Series CVQ. Developed initially to provide a unique all-in-one compact cylinder/valve system, we have simply taken our most popular compact CQ2 cylinder and V100 solenoid valve and literally built them together in one single unit. By adopting this innovative approach, there is no need to allocate space for either the valve or the necessary piping and by eliminating the piping, further performance benefits are also achieved such as reduced pressure drop and air consumption plus improved response speeds. Currently the CVQ Series combines a double acting compact cylinder in either 32mm or 40mm bore sizes for application requiring cylinder speed of between 50 – 500 mm/s and a 2 position solenoid valve, which is IP 40 dust proof and is available in low power consumption 24 or 12 V options.

Machine builders looking for an optimum air cylinder for pushing, lifting or clamping applications now have a lighter solution with new Series CS2 range. Available in three bore sizes, these air cylinders achieve up to a 50% weight reduction by using aluminium die-cast for both rod and head covers. Therefore, lighter cylinders mean man hour reduction for assembly, power consumption for moving, and energy savings during product manufacturing. Interchangeable with CS1 cylinders, the new replaceable cushion seal considerably facilitates the maintenance.

Machine builders looking for a double acting pin cylinder for clamping, pushing or stopping applications now have a solution with our new Series CJP2 Pin Cylinder range. With its four bore size options, including a tiny, but powerful, 4mm bore size model, all feature extruded aluminium bodies making them not only compact but extremely light in weight. With 6, 10 and 16mm bore sizes completing the range the entire CJP2 Series can be fitted with our direct mounted D-M9/D-A9 auto switches without the need for additional mounting brackets. Mounting possibilities include Basic/Panel, Flange, Foot, Clevis and trunnion options and the new CJP2 Series is fully interchangeable with our existing CJP range.

E-MY2B Series is a perfect choice for applications requiring shock-less transfer of light loads. The operational range of the E-MY2B can be further extended by linking the guide to an external guide, which considerably increases the allowable moment. Direct mounting of the load onto the guide is also an option. With no programming required and quick and easy stroke adjustment and speed/acceleration setting, Series E-MY2B are available in 3 or 5 accurate stop options, a wide selection of standard strokes, speed rates, and applicable loads.

The new E-MY2HT Series has been developed following demands for an actuator with greater allowable moment specifications compared to the single axis E-MY2H type. Thanks to its double axis with a linear guide construction, resistance to moment performance has been increased by more than four times making the E-MY2HT a perfect option for applications requiring high speed, shock-less transfer of loads and high moment requirements.

Further developments to the e – Actuator range is the addition of minimum and maximum speed options of 10 and 2000 mm/s, respectively, and an increased applicable load of up to 20 kg. All of which can be now be added to the wide selection of standard strokes, speed rates, applicable loads and accessories currently available in the E-MY2 Series.

To provide our customers with a single auto switch solution for up to 5 different mounting types, we are please to offer our extended range of eleven auto switch mounting brackets. Designed for use with our D-A9 Reed type and D-M9/D-F9#W Solid State type switches, it is now possible to mount our compact auto switches in five different mounting types: Direct (round groove type), Band, Tie-rod, Rail and Groove (square groove type). Additionally, if you’re currently using direct (square groove), band or rail mounts, these new brackets have been specifically designed to work with existing fittings which means that our compact auto switches can be retrofitted to existing cylinder installations.

Designed to compliment our existing MY3 range of Mechanically Jointed Rodless Cylinders, the new MY3M Series features a slide bearing which dramatically improves both load weight and load movement performance. With the ability to put work pieces directly onto the work table, there is no need to select and install external guides and further benefits are found in the huge space savings generated by incorporating a unique oval shaped piston. With height and length savings of up to 28% and 104 mm respectively and staggering weight reductions of up to 50%, compared to our similar MY1M range, the new MY3M really does offer miniaturisation combined with powerful performance.

The CJP series just got bigger. Or did it just get smaller? The series is now available in four bore sizes including the smallest addition: the 4mm bore size. Typical applications include clamping, pushing, or stopping small parts. The 4mm bore size is available as single acting with panel mounting or plug mounting styles in strokes of 5, 10 and 15 mm.

Series MSZ is our latest 3-position rotary table which can be adjusted to stop at three different positions within a 190º radius and does not require either a motor or any complex machinery to function, only compressed air. Designed initially for the selection and separation of work pieces to either the left or right, the rotary table is controlled via a single 3-position solenoid valve ensuring simple setup and operation. Currently available in two model types – basic and high accuracy, for higher loads and reduced table deflection, – Series MSZ can be ordered in four different sizes and are designed to work with an operating pressure range of between 0.2 to1 MPa.

Following market demands, we are pleased to unveil our latest new addition to our popular CRQ Series of compact rotary actuators. With their unique aluminium hollow box type construction, providing very high rigidity, the range consists of three AC servomotors models - 50,100 and 200W – both direct acting guide and slider guide types – and with three lead screw options. Available in stroke lengths of 100 mm to 1,500 mm and in two mounting styles, cable entry is possible from five positions ensuring even greater flexibility.

Following the early success of our CY3 magnetically coupled rodless cylinder range, machine manufacturers using transfer applications in combination with various types of guides now have even more bore size choices with the launch of our newly expanded CY3 B/R range. As before, each cylinder is available in two options, the CY3B basic type and the CY3R for direct mounting and all have added features including a 70% enlarged wear ring to improve the bearing function and a special soft resin wiper on the dust seal to achieve ideal lubrication. Series CY3 is now available in bore sizes of 6, 10, 15, 20, 25, 32, 40, 50 and 63 mm with stroke options of between 50 and 1.000mm.

Machine builders looking for a simple electric cylinder that can operate like a pneumatic cylinder, now have the answer with our new Series LZ. Available in two body types, with lead screw and motors size options, the twelve model LZ Series cylinder range are all powered by 24VDC motors which provide both stable and efficient end to end performance. Designed for use with a LC3F Directional Control Driver that can be operated just like a solenoid valve, using simple on/off signals, operational speeds of up to 200mm/s and thrusts up to 196N are possible. Additional performance features of the LC3F unit are that output thrust can be easily altered by simply adjusting its fully integrated trimmer switch.

Following requests for a compact clean room cylinder with more force, we are pleased to add two further bore size options – 80 and 100 mm - to our popular Clean Series CQ2, range. With this development it means that we can now offer a comprehensive selection of bore size options starting from 12 mm through to the largest 100 mm cylinder. With piston operating speeds from 50 to 400 mm/s, depending on the model selected, these double acting, single rod cylinders are ideal if you’re looking for a compact “clean room solution”.

Calls for an easy to use, CE approved, positioning unit have risen dramatically with many applications today using electric actuation. We are therefore pleased to unveil our new Series LC8 positioning driver, for use with 50, 100 or 200W AC servomotors. Designed initially to partner our LG1, LJ1 or LTF electric actuator ranges and originally for point to point applications, when positioning a single axis actuator, further developments have now meant that up to six additional slave units can be used, positioning further axis, which are controlled via a PLC through the LC8 master unit. Using up to 117 programmable position steps, parameters such as velocity, acceleration, deceleration and torque can be quickly set using the “user friendly” Windows® based LC8 setting software. Additionally, up to 5 different types of palletising patterns can be configured for 2-axis pick and place applications.

The Series CQM compact cylinder with guide rods and plate for direct load mounting is now further expanded with the addition of three more standard bore size options; 63 mm, 80 mm and 100 mm. Designed to operate at piston speeds of between 50 to 300 mm/s, these new CQM cylinders benefit from substantially increased lateral load resistance of up to 3 times higher than SMC’s existing CQ actuator series and offer non-rotating accuracy of +/- 0,1º. Constructed to withstand temperature ranges of -10 to 70ºC without freezing, this double acting, single rod, actuator range is pressure proofed up 1,5 MPa, and is designed to operate in normal conditions with air pressure of between 0,1 MPa to 1,0 MPa.
