Over the years many factory automation experts have suggested that the
perfect actuator would combine the speed, controllability and performance of an
electric actuator with the operational ability of an air cylinder. So, when R&D
engineers from world leaders SMC Pneumatics first launched their “easy” e-
rodless actuator Series E- MY2C/2H in 2004, the impact was outstanding.
Not content to rest on their laurels, the E-MY2 C/2H range has now been
expanded by the addition of Series E-MY2B, featuring a basic model, and
Series E-MY2HT, a dual guide option.
For those not familiar with Series E-MY2 B, this e-actuator is a perfect choice
for applications requiring shock-less transfer of light loads. The operational
range of the e-MY2B can be further extended by linking the guide to an external
guide, which considerably increases the allowable moment. Direct mounting of
the load onto the guide is also an option.
With no programming required and quick and easy stroke adjustment and
speed/acceleration setting, Series E-MY2B are available in 3 or 5
accurate stop options, a wide selection of standard strokes, speed rates,
and applicable loads.
The new E- MY2HT Series has been developed following demands for an
actuator with greater allowable moment specifications compared to the single
axis E-MY2H type. Thanks to its double axis with a linear guide construction,
resistance to moment performance has been increased by more than four times
making the E-MY2HT a perfect option for applications requiring high speed,
shock-less transfer of loads and high moment requirements.
Further developments to the e – Actuator range is the addition of minimum and
maximum speed options of 10 and 2000 mm/s, respectively, and an increased
applicable load of up to 20 kg. All of which can be now be added to the wide
selection of standard strokes, speed rates, applicable loads and accessories
currently available in the E-MY2 Series. |
