Cool valve from SMC achieves excellent lubrication and swarf removal performance

Machine tool operations using high pressure coolant for lubrication and swarf removal now have the perfect solution thanks to world leaders SMC and their new Series SGH coolant valve range. Developed to renew their existing VNH valve range, these new 2/3 port valves, with their improved performance, are ideal for high speed grinding applications and lengthy drilling operations where the build-up of heat and swarf can be a major problem. Designed to operate with flow rates of between 0 and 7MPa, Series SGH has a life expectancy in excess of 3 million cycles and thanks to its unique construction, which incorporate a V116 pilot valve, water hammer has been reduced considerably, higher flow rate has been achieved and energy consumption is now only 0.54W when selecting the 24v DC, with light/surge voltage suppressor option. Further features of the SGH valve range include, an in-built filter in the P port to prevent any contamination entering the valve and the use of fluorine rubber, low condensate ozone resistant, parts in the pilot valve. With a choice of a conduit terminal, DIN connector or M12 connector power supply, Series SGH valves are lower in height but still fully interchangeable with SMC´s soon to be discontinued VNH range. Fully compliant to international standards including ISO 1179-1, CE, UL and CSA certifications Series SGH is available with G thread connections as standard.
