Drives & Controls Expo’s largest stand will showcase SMC

Drives & Controls Expo’s largest stand will showcase SMC

SMC UK is delighted to confirm it will exhibiting at the Drives & Controls Expo, from 5 – 6 June at the National Exhibition Centre near Birmingham.

SMC’s stand at Drives & Control will be the largest in the show at a huge 162m2 – and will have around 30 product panels, both dynamic and static.

Stand A40 will be close to the entrance to hall 5 at the NEC, so exhibition visitors will have a chance to visit when they arrive at the show, or just before they leave.

SMC’s parent company, SMC Corporation, marks its 65th anniversary this year, having been founded in Japan in 1959.  Since then the group has expanded sustainably and now has 400 sales offices in 82 countries globally, and a worldwide sales team of almost 8,000 people.  SMC’s product line currently stands at some 12,000 basic models and over 700,000 variations.

Speaking about SMC UK’s exhibition programme for 2024, Marketing Manager Tom Campbell said, “Drives & Controls is the highlight of our plans for this year.  The NEC provides an easily-accessible, central location for visitors from all around the UK and having the largest stand in the hall gives SMC a great opportunity to not only show not just our stand-out solutions but also the ‘basics’ that keep production lines running.

“Because we constantly invest in innovation, there will always be new solutions to show and this year is no exception.  If a bespoke solution is what a customer needs, our manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes provides that for UK customers - so the team on stand A40 can tell customers how we achieve that, too. We’re looking forward to getting face-to-face with customers and making new contacts!”

Drives and Controls is co-located at the NEC with five other engineering exhibitions: Smart Factory Expo, Air-Tech, Design & Engineering Expo, MainTec and Fluid Power & Systems.

Drives & Controls 2024 takes place from 5-6 June in hall 5 of the National Exhibition Centre; visitors can pre-register for their free ticket by registering on the show website: https://drives-controls-2024.reg.buzz/
