Essential duties: | ||
The European Technical Centre in Milton Keynes is part of our global technical organisation and our engineers deliver innovation and excellence in design, development and technical support for the European market. Reviewing requests for customised products from sales to ensure specification is clear and viable. Carrying out testing of electrical/electronic/pneumatic products. Responsible for ensuring timely completion of own projects. Participation on larger projects with supervision from senior Engineer. Provide technical product support to SMC European subsidiaries. Visiting customers to determine technical requirements for special products. Participating in technical market research activities. Technical support concerning directives and standards relevant to products. |

Minimum requirements: | ||
For this exciting opportunity you will need to have: Electrical/Electronics Engineering degree 2:1 or better preferred, Experience of managing own projects, Experience in writing technical reports, Experience of working with customers or suppliers, Ability to work as part of a multicultural team, Able to travel to European customers when required, PC skills: minimum MS Word and Excel, Excellent spoken and written English, Must be a good team player and able to work in a results by consensus culture. |

Other skills: | ||
There will be regular interactions with SMC Engineers in other countries and for this you will need effective oral and written communication skills.
