SMC, the worldwide leading expert in pneumatics, is feeling the force as it extends its portfolio of rod and guide rod type electric actuators by introducing new sizes and options to its popular LEY(G) Series.
Responding to market demand, the new products within the range have the capacity to handle larger and higher pushing forces, as well as, higher transfer loads and velocities plus offer improved IP rates.
Available in two new sizes – LEY(G)40 with DC Step Motor and the LEY63 with AC Servo Motor – both deliver higher pushing forces of 1058N and 1910N respectively. The LEY63 also handles higher workloads up to 80kg (horizontal) and 72kg (vertical).
Transfer load and velocity is improved with the LEYG25/32 featuring an AC Servo Motor offering a maximum velocity of 1200mm/s compared to 500mm/s using the standard Step Servo Motor.
For many of the products within the LEY(G) Series there is now the option to protect the actuators from dust and water, extending their operating life. The aluminium cover protects the motor, whilst a seal connector and vent hole prevents dust and water from entering between the cable and motor cover.
Suitable for general industrial machinery, the complete rod and guide rod electric actuator series can handle applications such as lifting, delivering, pushing and repelling operations within the transfer and assembly related industries.
