SMC, the world’s leading provider of pneumatics, has upgraded its popular multi-purpose VXZ series 2 port solenoid valve.
The VXZ series is pilot operated and has zero differential pressure so that it can manage both low pressure fluids and low vacuum. It is also easy to install due to the fact that it doesn’t require compressed air to operate.
The innovative design also means the VXZ valves are up to 27% lighter and 4% smaller than conventional models, making them ideal components for lightweight machines and narrow space. The series is quieter to operate thanks to a rubber buffer and enjoys an extended service life due to its improved construction, which is all part of SMC’s commitment to refine the performance and functionality of its products and drive competitive advantages for customers.
Available in low concentration ozone resistant and oil free options, the VXZ series is available in a range of body materials such as aluminium, resin, brass and stainless steel with seal materials NBR, FKM and EPDM as standard.
With piping thread variations from ¼” to 1” and one-touch fitting from Ø10 to Ø12, the VXZ is highly flexible and offers labour savings.
The VXZ has normally closed or normally open valve type options and an improved OFF response, especially with viscous fluids such as oil.
Suitable for a wide variety of applications for air, water, oil, heated water and high temperature oil, the VXZ is ideal for cooling systems, segmentation of pneumatic lines and exhaust valve in vacuum lines, among many others applications.
Recognised as a global technology leader and voted for the third consecutive year as one of the world’s most innovative by leading business magazine, Forbes, SMC has a diverse customer base covering all automation industries.
