SMC, the world’s leading provider of pneumatics, has ‘sealed it’ with its latest normally closed, high vacuum solenoid valve.
The XSA Series has been refined to improve reliability, so that it delivers high sealing with minimum leakage and a minimum operating pressure differential of just 1 x 10-6 Pa (abs). It also offers the choice of compression or face seal fittings.
For added durability, the parts of the valve that come into contact with gas are made from corrosion resistant materials such as stainless steel, FKM, resin (PPS) and PET.
The XSA is highly efficient and delivers cost benefits as it’s more economical to operate in terms of power consumption and lighter in weight, supporting SMC’s focus on developing innovations to drive energy savings and competitive advantages for its customers.
Its construction has also been adapted, so the spring is now located in the body of the XSA, reducing contact and minimising particle generation. A Faston terminal has been added and there is a greater choice of voltages, adding to its versatility for a cross section of industries such as food, medical, semiconductor, photovoltaic and LCD. The XSA Series is suitable for applications like gas injection within the process chamber and when working with inert gases is needed.
SMC is the world’s leading pneumatics provider and prides itself on working closely with its customers to provide solutions that improve productivity and reduce overall production costs. For further information on the XSA series please visit SMC’s New Product Section at www.smc.eu.
