The C85 series conforms to ISO 6432 and CETOP RP52P. The C85 is available in bore sizes 8mm through 25mm with standard strokes ranging from 10mm through 300mm. A unique rod packing design prevents entry of dust and the effectiveness of the seal is such that the C85 is suitable for use in extremely dusty environments. With abrasion resistant packings and replaceable nose seals, the C85 offers exceptional service life.

The C76 series air cylinders offer a simple, space saving design with high dimensional accuracy, making these cylinders very easy to use. Large spanner flats on the rod and head covers greatly simplify their installation and positioning. Low friction and the standard elastomer cushion rings allow piston speeds up to 1500mm/sec. Greater side loads are allowed due to the close tolerance of the piston rod in the front-end bush.

We are proud to introduce our Series CM2-Z round air cylinder. This new model delivers improved assembly time and reduced maintenance costs thanks to the auto-switch position, which can be altered by the loosening of just one screw. The addition of a transparent auto switch bracket provides improved visibility of the status of the switch and the Series delivers extra flexibility including the option of male and female rods. Where space is at a premium, you can select a female rod end (up to 29 mm shorter) and/or boss-cut type (up to 16 mm shorter). With a wide range of mounting brackets available, the CM2-Z also delivers greater mounting flexibility, making it ideal for use in applications such as pick and place, positioning and clamping.

Requests for a compact, lightweight, clean profiled air cylinder for use in general automation applications have been answered with the launch of our new Series CM3 range. Developed from our popular Series CM2 models, our R&D engineers have made the CM3 cylinders up to 66mm shorter and 21% lighter, without any reduction in operational performance, when compared to our CM2 range. Available in 20, 25, 32 and 40mm bore sizes, with pivoting single clevis, trunnion mounting and female thread end options as standard, the new CM3 range, which uses shock resistant tubing, offer the perfect solution when used with our small, dual colour D-M9*W autoswitches.

Series CM2 stainless steel cylinders are compact, lightweight and offer high performance. Improved piston seal and rod seal greatly improve the unit's life. Rubber bumpers are standard. The CM2 series offers a variety of mounting options and is auto switch capable.

We are pleased to unveil the updated clean-profile, round air cylinder CG1-Z Series. This new series, with bores from 20 to 100m, offers enhanced auto switch mounting and includes many new features that reduce assembly and maintenance costs together with improved flexibility. Fine adjustments to the auto-switch can now be done by simply loosening one screw and improved visibility is achieved thanks to a transparent auto switch bracket. Both male and female rod end styles can be selected, with the female rod end available as standard and up to 52mm shorter in length to its male thread partner. A variety of mounting bracket options, a simple construction and no accumulation of foreign particles thanks to the basic mounting without trunnion female thread, make the CG1-Z suitable for a wide range of applications such as clamping, pick and place and positioning across many industries.

Welcome to our new compact, round bodied, space saving, air cylinder - Series CG3. Based on our popular CG1 cylinder range, this double acting, single rod series is up to 37mm shorter in overall length than comparable compact models due to its integrated head cover and tube. And if space is still a problem, CG3“s can be ordered with a female rod end as a standard option, thereby reducing the cylinder length by a further 14mm (depending on the selected model). This reduction in size, coupled with a newly designed cylinder body, also makes the CG3 considerably lighter ? up to 24% - than a comparable CG1 cylinder models. Available in bore sizes 20mm to 100mm, these cylinders, with the exception of the two larger bores sizes (80mm and 100mm) can also be mounted with our D-M9*W, dual colour, solid state autoswitches.

Series CG1 precision air cylinder has 8 bore sizes and can meet any application need. The tube is impact extruded aluminum to produce an extraordinarily smooth finish, allow low break-away pressure and smooth stroke action. Eight mounting options are available. Auto switch capable.

Series CP95 is a profile design ISO/VDMA air cylinder. Tie rods are enclosed in an extruded aluminum profile barrel, which is integrated with both end covers to achieve a smooth and attractive appearance. Piston rod lurching has been eliminated at the end of stroke positions by means of a floating seal mechanism. High accuracy covers and tie rod nuts simplify the mounting process and also extend cylinder life.

The C95 is ISO, VDMA24562 interchangeable, and utilizes a tie rod construction. In addition to standard cushions and wear band, the C95 utilizes a "floating" cushion seal design that greatly improves operation. SMC's exclusive "figure 8" seal insures long cycle life.

Series CS1 air cylinder is SMC's largest bore cylinder. This series is available in bore sizes up to 12" and stroke lengths up to 60". Additionally, the CS1 can be ordered auto-switch capable. Other options include, large bore sizes up to 12" (300mm), various mounting configurations, cushion for noise damping, and lubrication optional.

Series CS2 air cylinder is a double acting, non-lube air cylinder. Aluminum die-cast is used for both the rod and head covers, which means a maximum weight reduction of approximately 50% (basic 125mm bore, 100mm stroke).  This series is available in bore sizes 125mm, 140mm and 160mm with maximum strokes up to 1600mm (depending on the mounting configuration).  Air cushions are standard on both ends.  Other options include auto switches, rod boots, and Rc, NPT or G thread types.

We have rolled out an upgraded lightweight tie rod cylinder, the MB-Z series. Delivering market leading customer advantages, it is up to 10% lighter than previous models thanks to the new shape of the rod and head covers. The MB-Z also offers flexibility with a broad range of mounting brackets and the ability to mount both compact and magnetic field resistant auto switches on 4 tie-rods. With an ability to perform various manoeuvres ? flipping, clamping, lifting, transportation and turning ? the MB-Z is ideal for general industrial equipment. And with a choice of made to order designs, it can also handle bespoke environments.

We are proud to reveal our latest tie rod air cylinder, the CA2-Z Series which promises to provide our customers with a competitive edge. The rod and head covers have been re-designed so the CA2-Z is up to 15% lighter than its predecessor. Further performance improvements have been achieved thanks to the introduction of a three turn adjustment range to the cushion valve, delivering easier control, smoother operation at the stroke end and labour cost savings for setting the cylinder speed. It comes with a variety of mounting brackets, as well as compact or magnetic field resistant auto switches that can be mounted on 4 tie-rods. In addition to the broad range of standard designs, there are a number of made to order options, making the CA2-Z ideal across a broad range of industries.

The MB series medium duty tie rod cylinder offers an improved design that enhances cylinder operation and ease of use. The standard air cushion utilizes a floating cushion seal to eliminate piston rod bouncing. The cushion volume has been elevated permitting about 30% more allowable kinetic energy absorption. The port and captive cushion adjustment valve are located on the same side of cap for heightened access. The MB series is available with many standard options, which include stroke adjustment, tandem, high/low temperature seals, heavy rod scraper, non-rotating rod, double rod and many more.

Air cylinder series CA2 has been introduced with specifications and dimensions equivalent to the existing CA1 series. Several improvements have been made to the CA2 series including lateral load improvement, increase in cushioning capacity and adoption of the new cushion seal. There has been enhanced efficiency in handling for cushion valve adjustment and weight has been reduced by 5 to 15%. Stock control of the compact auto switches is easy, since a wide variety of auto switches are available.

Following a review of our popular CQ2 compact cylinder Series our R&D engineers have totally redesigned the complete cylinder range to bring you even more performance benefits and increased cylinder options. The major difference between the new CQ2 range and the old model is the totally redesigned body, which offers improved auto-switch mounting possibilities plus an overall reduction of cylinder weight of between 5 -13% depending on the model. Now, all CQ2 cylinders from Ų 32 to 200mm are designed with slide in grooves which can accommodate auto-switches on all four cylinder sides without the need for auto-switch brackets. And, for smaller bore sizes between Ų 12 and 25mm, slide in grooves have also been integrated in the new body design to accommodate bracket free auto-switches on two surfaces. Designed for use with our simple to set, dual colour, solid state auto-switches, the integrated auto-switch channel ensures total protection against potential accidental damage and improved health and safety benefits during both installation and maintenance procedures.

The CQS compact cylinder is available for those small bore cylinder applications where saving space is a concern. While sharing many of the outstanding features of the CQ2 series, the CQS offers standard long strokes (up to 300mm) in four bore sizes from 12 to 25mm. Long stroke versions incorporate a wear band and thicker piston to handle the increased bearing needs of the longer strokes. Both switch capable and non-switch capable body styles are the same, and switches can be mounted on three (12-16 bore) and four (20-25 bore) sides. An increased side load version (CQS*S) is available for more demanding applications.

The CQM is a compact cylinder integrated with a guide rod and plate. The series is available in 12, 16, 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 80 and 100mm bore sizes with the same mounting dimensions as the CQ2. The guide rod and plate allow work to be directly mounted. The CQM series offers 4 times the lateral load resistance of the CQ2K and non-rotating accuracy of ±0.2°.

The CUJ miniature free mount series is a space saving compact cylinder. It is available in 4mm to 10mm bore sizes with stroke lengths up to 20mm for double acting and 10mm for single acting. Options include auto switch capabilities, double and single acting, mounting from 4 directions.

The series CU free mount cylinder saves space and allows direct and precise mounting. It is available in 6mm to 32mm bore sizes with stroke lengths up to 50mm. Options include auto-switch capabilities, free mount choices, recessed switch mounting grooves, non-rotating rod, double rod, single and double acting, and rubber bumpers standard.

The RQ series' new air cushion construction allows this series to retain the merits of a compact cylinder. The unique air cushion construction eliminates the cushion ring used in conventional type air cushions, which reduces the overall length of the cylinder. The RQ series meets the demands for reduced shock, noise reduction and improved repeatability at the stroke end.

Machine builders who traditionally use a cylinder and solenoid valve for pushing and clamping applications now have a space and time saving solution with the launch of SMC“s new Series CVQ cylinder and valve range.Developed initially to provide a unique all-in-one compact cylinder/valve system, engineers from world leaders SMC have simply taken their most popular compact CQ2 cylinder and V100 solenoid valve and literally built them together in one single unit. By adopting this innovative approach, the new CVQ cylinder range offers some major space savings as there is no need to allocate space for either the valve or the necessary piping. And by eliminating the piping, further performance benefits are also achieved such as reduced pressure drop and air consumption - by up to 37% per cycle - plus improved response speed when compared to previous separate cylinder and valve configurations. The MU plate cylinder, with its elliptical design, provides a low profile while maintaining force output. The MU cylinder can eliminate the need for higher operating pressures that may be required for typical flat cylinders. The MQQ cylinder is a compact, low friction cylinder designed for low pressure, low speed, uniform speed or low friction applications. But, thanks to the design engineers at SMC, world leaders in pneumatic technology, this challenge maybe a thing of the past with the introduction of their new Series CJP2 Pin Cylinder range.Now available in four bore size options, Series CJP2 includes a tiny, but powerful, 4mm bore size option making it the smallest double acting pin cylinder around.With 6, 10 and 16mm bore sizes completing the range, all feature extruded aluminium bodies making them not only compact but extremely light in weight.With longer stroke options of up to 40mm dependant on the selected bore size, the entire CJP2 Series can be fitted with direct mounted SMC D-M9/D-A9 auto switches without the need for additional mounting brackets.Further CJP2 options include rubber bumper cushions for impact resistance providing quieter operation and made to order models including both heat and cold resistant types. The CJ1 series micro cylinder is ideal for completing small, delicate tasks. The barb on the cylinder cap will accept either millimeter or inch size tubing. SMC's CG5-S series is a stainless steel cylinder, perfect for use in wash down applications such as food processing machinery requiring intense cleaning. The use of non-toxic additives allows confident use in equipment for foods, beverages and medical products, etc. The CG5-S can be disassembled, allowing replacement of seals, which promotes an extended service life. SMC provides plugs for unused mounting threads to prevent residue build-up in the threads. The use of stainless steel (SUS304) on external metal parts provides improved corrosion resistance in environments with exposure to water.

Series CJ5-S is a stainless steel cylinder, designed for use in environments with water spray (such as food processing machines). A special scraper (standard) prevents water from entering the cylinder. Non-toxic additives allow confident use in equipment for food, beverage and medical products, etc. The CJ5-S series can be disassembled for replacement of seals.

The CNS series cylinder with lock is ideal for applications requiring intermediate and emergency stop and drop prevention. The compact lock unit saves space and the enclosed construction and separation of the lock mechanism and the unlocking piston chamber minimizes the influences of poor air quality.

The CLS series cylinder with lock is ideal for applications requiring intermediate and emergency stop and drop prevention. The compact lock unit is lightweight and saves space. A switch is optional on the brake cylinder so the operating state of the lock unit (brake piston) can be detected using the switch signal. By separating the lock mechanism and the brake cylinder, SMC has minimized the influences of unlocking air quality such as moisture and condensation.
