One of the world’s most innovative companies*, SMC will be flexing its muscle for the second year running at Biotechnica 2013, Europe’s premier event for the biotechnology, lab technology and life science sectors.
From its stand in Hall 9 Booth G43, the pneumatics expert will be showcasing its impressive range of products for the life science industry, presented by a team of multi-lingual technical experts that are skilled in developing solutions to meet their customers’ challenges.
Taking centre stage at Biotechnica is SMC’s LVM miniature series valve. Whilst small in size, this valve is not short on design features. This innovative model, which is extremely durable and accurate, is designed for applications in the life science sector where space is at a premium. At only 7mm wide, the ultra-compact LVM is ideal for applications such as multi-valve dispense and is suitable for media such as gases, chemicals and liquids that are used in many analytical applications in the industry.
Also on display is SMC’s new VDW range of multipurpose valves that are smaller, more efficient and deliver considerable time savings. These compact direct operated 2 port solenoid valves are as small as a little finger and up to 20 per cent lighter than previous models, making them as light as a mobile phone.
With a one touch fitting option that reduces the amount of labour required for piping, the VDW has an IP65 enclosure, protecting the valve against dust and water sprayed from all directions. The addition of resilient mounts guarantees quieter running.
All the products on display will demonstrate SMC’s extensive range of one stop shop solutions for the biotechnology industry. Visitors to SMC’s stand in Hall 9 Booth G43 will be welcomed by SMC experts who will be on-hand to answer any questions.
