SMC showcases its unique portfolio of cooling and tempering devices at Laser World 2017

LASER WORLD OF PHOTONICS 2017 26 to 29 June 2017 Munich Trade Fair Centre, Messe, Germany Hall B3, Stand 351 SMC will be revealing its diverse range of cooling and temperature controlling devices that combine both high and constant cooling capacity with optimum cost effectiveness at this year’s Laser World.

The annual event takes place in Messe Hannover from 14-16 February and has built a reputation for attracting leading tire suppliers and manufacturers from around the world.

With more than 30 years’ experience creating solutions for the laser, electronic, solar and semi-conductor industries, visitors to stand 351 in Hall B3 will have sight of SMC’s innovative suite of devices that have been designed for future-oriented technologies and energy efficient automation.

SMC will also be delivering a lecture ‘SMC - Your Global Partner for Cooling and Tempering Systems’ on Monday 26 June at 2pm in Hall A3.450.

From its stand, and under the banner ‘Precise and Efficient Tempering,’ the range of products on display include SMC’s thermo chillers and controllers. On show will be models HRS012 to HRS050 and HRSH090 to HRSH250, which has an air and water-cooled option. They are available in various sizes and suitable for a range of services with a cooling capacity that starts from 1.2 kW up to 30 kW, and offer outstanding stability of ± 0.1 °C.

Joining these cooling and temperature controlling devices is SMC’s HECR Series, which has been designed to save space due to its compact design and ability to be mounted within a 19-inch rack system. It also offers a high degree of control and accuracy, with temperature stability of ± 0.01 to 0.03 °C. By optimising the machine’s performance, productivity and process quality is also increased.

With environmental targets being a key issue for business, the HECR consumes as little as 400 W and is refrigeration free. And being compressor-less, with no moving parts, it’s very quiet to operate.

To complete the display, SMC will also showcase its range of components for circuit cooling such as cooling blocks, flow and pressure switches, tubing and fitting, KKA stainless steel couplers and process valves. For laser automation, there will be SMC’s market leading electric actuators, IO link, filtration, dryer, ATPtech, valves and Fieldbus serial interface technology.

A spokesperson from SMC said: “All of our products have been designed to the highest SMC quality standards and we look forward to meeting with customers at this year’s Laser World to demonstrate how our solutions provide precise, efficient and reliable solutions that consistently meet international standards.

“We will look to address the challenges and highlight the solutions on offer for today’s laser industries at our lecture as well as on the stand.”

Visitors to SMC’s stand 351 in Hall B3 will be welcomed by a team of experts who will be on hand to offer professional advice and support. To top off a busy exhibition day on Wednesday 28 June, SMC will be hosting its ‘Get Together Party’ from 4.30pm, offering delegates a tasty selection of snacks and drinks before they head home.
