The Life Science industry is set to benefit from a selective range of automation and component products developed by SMC.
Recently named as one of the world's most innovative companies by business magazine, Forbes, SMC has representation in 78 countries and 1,400 highly specialist in-house R&D experts, supported by 4,500 sales engineers, working directly with customers.
Thanks to SMC's global presence, the company has extended its product range from basic pneumatic components through to specialist products for the Life Science sector such as fluid valves, temperature control solutions for liquids, Acrylic manifolds and Teflon products.
SMC is, therefore, able to provide solutions for a select range of applications in the Life Science market including Analyzers, Blood Pressure Cuffs and Monitors, Dental Equipment, Hospital and Therapeutic Beds, Steralizers and X-rays.SMC's fluid valve range is proficient in fluid handling where dead legs, internal volume, chemical resistance and precision are paramount. They are smaller in size and lighter to equivalent valves in the marketplace, due to the fact that they integrate control equipment.
The custom engineered Acrylic manifolds also offer up to 50% reduction in space and weight as well as reduced piping work of up to 90% when compared to a conventional system. The range offers space and labour saving devices which are designed to prevent mistakes in piping and wiring.
And high purity liquids including pure water, corrosive solvents, biochemical substrates, concentrated acid or lyes are catered for with Teflon based components such as valves, fittings and tubing.
SMC said: "As leaders in our field, we have a team of highly trained Life Science experts who recognise and fully understand the strict standards set by various global governing trade bodies. We also understand that customers are seeking to work with fewer, trustworthy suppliers, which is why we invest so much in our people, R&D and ultimately our customers."
