At SMC we are continuing to focus on optimising the performance and functionality of our products by upgrading our rack and pinion type rotary actuator. The CRA1-Z Series allows for the cushion valve to be adjusted more easily, is lighter in weight and allows greater flexibility to the auto switch mounting. The cushion valve is indented, features a retaining ring that prevents a drop out and can be adjusted by simply using a hexagon wrench. The CRA1-Z is also interchangeable with the current CRA1 model as the shaft diameter, exterior and mounting dimensions are the same. Thanks to the port, cushion valve and auto switch positioned on the same surface, the CRA1-Z Series is easy to manipulate. Also the round type auto switches can be mounted from the front onto two surfaces and positioned anywhere on the mounting groove at any time. Ideal to meet the demands of several applications, such as robotics and material handling, the CRA1-Z is available in eight different shaft type variations and four rotating angles as standard.
The MSQ compact rotary table is ideal for material transfer applications. It incorporates load bearings and a mounting face with a rack-and-pinion style rotary actuator. The seven sizes are 10, 20, 30, 50, 70, 100, and 200 with rotational adjustments from 0-190 degrees, and auto switch capability. Additional features include a hollow shaft and direct load mounting possibility. MSQX low speed rotary table is also available.
The CRQ2 series is a compact rotary, rack and pinion style actuator. Single and double shaft types are available in all sizes (10~40mm). The CRQ2 uses internal cushioning and the body can be used as a flange. The use of a double piston eliminates backlash. CRQ2X low speed rotary actuator is also available. Auto switches are available.

Manufacturers who incorporate work piece selection or separation in their production process now have a unique, cost effective, solution thanks to development engineers from SMC, the world's leading automation experts, and their new 3-position rotary table, Series MSZ.This latest rotary actuator can be adjusted to stop at three different positions within a 190º radius and does not require either a electric motor or any complex machinery to function, only compressed air. Designed initially for the selection and separation of work pieces to either the left or right, the rotary table is controlled via a single 3-position solenoid valve ensuring simple setup and operation.Currently available in two model types – basic and high accuracy, for higher loads and reduced table deflection, – Series MSZ can be ordered in four different sizes and are designed to work with an operating pressure range of between 0.2 to1 MPa.With an allowable kinetic energy of 7, 25, 48 and 81 mJ and an effective torque at 0.5MPa of 1, 2, 3 and 5 Nm respectively, a load can be mounted directly on the table for simplicity.
