Series CP95 is a profile design ISO/VDMA air cylinder. Tie rods are enclosed in an extruded aluminum profile barrel, which is integrated with both end covers to achieve a smooth and attractive appearance. Piston rod lurching has been eliminated at the end of stroke positions by means of a floating seal mechanism. High accuracy covers and tie rod nuts simplify the mounting process and also extend cylinder life.
The C95 is ISO, VDMA24562 interchangeable, and utilizes a tie rod construction. In addition to standard cushions and wear band, the C95 utilizes a "floating" cushion seal design that greatly improves operation. SMC's exclusive "figure 8" seal insures long cycle life.
Series CS1 air cylinder is SMC's largest bore cylinder. This series is available in bore sizes up to 12" and stroke lengths up to 60". Additionally, the CS1 can be ordered auto-switch capable. Other options include, large bore sizes up to 12" (300mm), various mounting configurations, cushion for noise damping, and lubrication optional.
Series CS2 air cylinder is a double acting, non-lube air cylinder. Aluminum die-cast is used for both the rod and head covers, which means a maximum weight reduction of approximately 50% (basic 125mm bore, 100mm stroke). This series is available in bore sizes 125mm, 140mm and 160mm with maximum strokes up to 1600mm (depending on the mounting configuration). Air cushions are standard on both ends. Other options include auto switches, rod boots, and Rc, NPT or G thread types.
We have rolled out an upgraded lightweight tie rod cylinder, the MB-Z series. Delivering market leading customer advantages, it is up to 10% lighter than previous models thanks to the new shape of the rod and head covers. The MB-Z also offers flexibility with a broad range of mounting brackets and the ability to mount both compact and magnetic field resistant auto switches on 4 tie-rods. With an ability to perform various manoeuvres – flipping, clamping, lifting, transportation and turning – the MB-Z is ideal for general industrial equipment. And with a choice of made to order designs, it can also handle bespoke environments.
We are proud to reveal our latest tie rod air cylinder, the CA2-Z Series which promises to provide our customers with a competitive edge. The rod and head covers have been re-designed so the CA2-Z is up to 15% lighter than its predecessor. Further performance improvements have been achieved thanks to the introduction of a three turn adjustment range to the cushion valve, delivering easier control, smoother operation at the stroke end and labour cost savings for setting the cylinder speed. It comes with a variety of mounting brackets, as well as compact or magnetic field resistant auto switches that can be mounted on 4 tie-rods. In addition to the broad range of standard designs, there are a number of made to order options, making the CA2-Z ideal across a broad range of industries.
The MB series medium duty tie rod cylinder offers an improved design that enhances cylinder operation and ease of use. The standard air cushion utilizes a floating cushion seal to eliminate piston rod bouncing. The cushion volume has been elevated permitting about 30% more allowable kinetic energy absorption. The port and captive cushion adjustment valve are located on the same side of cap for heightened access. The MB series is available with many standard options, which include stroke adjustment, tandem, high/low temperature seals, heavy rod scraper, non-rotating rod, double rod and many more.
Air cylinder series CA2 has been introduced with specifications and dimensions equivalent to the existing CA1 series. Several improvements have been made to the CA2 series including lateral load improvement, increase in cushioning capacity and adoption of the new cushion seal. There has been enhanced efficiency in handling for cushion valve adjustment and weight has been reduced by 5 to 15%. Stock control of the compact auto switches is easy, since a wide variety of auto switches are available.
