SMC Supports Relief and Recovery Efforts in Venezuela
SMC extends its deepest sympathies to the people of Venezuela and to all those whose lives have been impacted by the devastating earthquakes. Our thoughts are with the individuals, families, and communities facing unimaginable loss, as well as our colleagues and partners in Venezuela during this difficult time.

As a global organization with a longstanding presence in Venezuela, we are committed to standing alongside the communities we serve. In response to this tragedy, SMC is supporting humanitarian relief efforts through both employee-led donations of essential supplies and a corporate financial contribution to aid organizations providing emergency assistance and long-term recovery.
As part of SMC's global response, employees across North America have collected pallets of nonperishable food, bottled water, first aid supplies, personal hygiene items, and other critical necessities. These donations will be delivered through Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), whose teams are on the ground providing immediate relief to affected communities.
In addition to these employee-led efforts, SMC is making a financial contribution of $7,500 USD to support the work of the Global Empowerment Mission as they provide emergency assistance, shelter, food, clean water, medical care, and long-term recovery resources.
At SMC, we believe our responsibility extends beyond the solutions we provide to industries. It includes supporting the people and communities we serve, especially in times of extraordinary need. We are grateful to the humanitarian organizations, first responders, medical professionals, and volunteers working tirelessly to bring relief and hope to those affected.
As recovery efforts continue, SMC remains committed to standing with the people of Venezuela and supporting the ongoing path to recovery.
