SMC has extended its popular digital flow switch PF3W series by introducing a larger version that can handle high flow rates of various fluids.
With two models available â€“ the integrated display type PF3W721 and remote sensor PF3W521 â€“ SMC can now extend its proposition to customers requiring more flow control within the semiconductor manufacturing and solar cell devices manufacturing industries, among others.
The large flow switches can detect flows up to 250 L/min of water or aqueous solution of ethylene glycol, frequently used in chiller type applications. Offering a compact and complete solution, the integrated display type, together with the remote sensor type â€“ featuring a space saving, flexible piping design â€“ are also available with chemically resistant PVC piping making them suitable for water-treatment facilities.
Designed to withstand temperatures up to 90Â° as standard and up to 70Â° for PVC piping models, both models share the PF3Wâ€™s in-built temperature sensor so that the flow and the fluid temperature can be monitored simultaneously. They also offer the PF3Wâ€™s two screen, three colour numerical display which can be rotated both clockwise and anti-clockwise offering clear display visibility during operation.
