Valves

EX250 is a serial interface unit controlling up to 32 solenoids.  This serial interface is compatible with series VQC1000/2000/4000 and SV1000/2000/3000 valves.  Available protocols include DeviceNet, CC-Link, AS-i, Profibus-DP, and CANopen.  Input modules can be added or removed at the point of use.

Serial interface unit EX500 is capable of controlling up to 64 solenoids, and is compatible with SV1000/2000/3000/4000, VQC1000/2000/4000 valves.  The EX500 makes it possible to connect up to 4 valve manifolds with up to 16 solenoids each.  Available protocols include DeviceNet, CC-Link and Profibus-DP.

The SV series employs a multi-connector instead of the conventional lead wires for internal manifold wiring. By connecting each block with a connector, changes to manifold stations are greatly simplified. Cassette base type manifolds offer the ultimate in flexibility. Manifold sections can be added using a simple release mechanism. Conventional tie-rod base type manifolds are also available. The use of 34 pin connectors allows up to 16 stations with double solenoids.

SMC's VQ7-6/7-8 series valve conforms to ISO standard 5591/I.  A choice of metal or rubber seal increases compatibility with various operating and environmental conditions.  Manifolds are available with a wide range of interface options to meet a variety of application requirements.  The VQ7-6/7-8 has a smaller, space-saving profile and is lighter in weight than the VS7/VP7 series.

Dimensions of SMC's VS7 series conform to ISO interface sizes 1 and 2.  The pilot operated metal seal design allows the valve to be used with non-lube dry air and still maintain a long life.  The VS7 is available in 2 or 3 position, double or single action.  Manifolds are available with a large variety of functions and piping configurations.

Industrial applications requiring a 2 port solenoid valve now have an enhanced option following the release of our new, improved VX2 Valve Series. Developed as a part of our on-going product improvement programme, the new Series VX2, which is suitable for air, medium vacuum, water or oil, now offers considerable performance advantages when compared to our previous VX21 solenoid valve model. With its modern urban white outer appearance, Series VX2 is around 10% smaller and 30% lighter compared to our old Series VX21 valve due in part to its resin and aluminium body construction, yet it still delivers around 20% increased flow rate performance. Incorporating a rubber bumper to reduce valve noise during operation and featuring one touch fitting for speed of installation, Series VX2 offers improved durability and reduced apparent power – up to 20VA.
