SMC raises the bar at drinktec 2017 with versatile solutions

drinktec 2017 11 - 15 September 2017 Messe, Munich Hall B3, Stand 510 SMC, a global leader in pneumatic and electrical automation technology, will be serving up a range of flexible solutions dedicated to the beverage industry at this year’s drinktec from stand 510 in Hall B3.

The exhibition, taking place in Munich from 11 to 15 September, is the world's leading trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industry. With a range of solutions on display that support clean design, energy efficiency and the highest safety standards, SMC will demonstrate why it’s a global partner of choice for the sector.

Product highlights on display include SMC’s new cleaning agent resistant 3-finger valve, VHK-SDV0226 with LOTO cover, which is easy to mount in both pressurised and unpressurised states.

It will be joined by the CG5-X2977 easy to clean stainless steel cylinder, that offers label free laser marking. Key features include flattened surfaces for easy fitting to a connector, hygienic cushion screw and a blue piston rod wiper that conforms to FDA and EU 1935/200.

SMC’s popular range of pneumatic and electric actuators, such as the LEY electric actuator, will demonstrate how different actuator strokes can be set, even within wet areas. The stainless steel LEY series, for example, is resistant to corrosion and cleaning agents.

Finally, the EX500 GEN2 fieldbus system offers real-time distributed control and is compatible with Ethernet/IP™ and PROFINET protocols. This decentralised model has 128 input/outputs and features an integrated web server and automatic addressing.

Visitors to SMC’s stand 510 in Hall B3 will be welcomed by a team of experts who will be on hand to offer professional advice and support. To top off a busy exhibition day on Thursday 14 September, SMC will be hosting its ‘Get Together Party’ from 17:00, offering delegates a tasty selection of snacks and drinks before they head home.
