Central kontroll av kylvattenflöde via fördelningsblock

SMC lanserar ett kompakt fördelningsblock till kylkretsar bestående av rampmonterade digitala flödesvakter med individuell reglering och avstängning för centraliserad kontroll av flöde och temperatur. Fördelningsblocket PF3WB/C/S/R är ett rampmontage av flödesvakter som eliminerar behovet av en flödesvakt ute på varje kylslinga, vilket i sin tur minskar rördragning och installationstid samt ger en lättöverskådlig, platsbesparande lösning. SMC launches digital flow switch for large flow

The latest digital flow switch to join the SMC family, PF3A7#H, monitors the consumption of the main line with a 100:1 ratio. The PF3A7#H is the latest addition to SMC’s flow switch family that covers a large flow measurement range and features a clear and easy to read display, which is crucial in monitoring the main line, branch or specific equipment. With an impressive 100:1 flow ratio, which is defined as the ratio between the full-scale range and the minimum point of measure, the PF3A7#H can detect leaks and monitor main line air consumption with just one product. Accuracy of information sits at the heart of the PF3A7#H, with a 3-colour and 3-label screen display that can rotate in increments of 90°, allowing operators to take notes and set the flow switch while checking the measured value. Furthermore, an analogue output gives more detailed information of an application’s performance. In addition, the external input can reset the accumulated, peak and bottom values without the need for manipulation. A spokesperson from SMC said: “We are always listening to our customers and seeking ways to enhance efficiency and reduce operating costs. “This next generation flow switch offers our customers greater flexibility and functionality, while being very simple to set and operate, this coupled with low air loss, makes the PF3A7#H the ideal product for those who care about energy efficiency.” Through a bore type structure made of aluminium alloy, the PF3A7#H is incredibly durable as the bypass construction reduces the levels of moist air and foreign matter that encounter the flow switch, guaranteeing a longer life span.

SMC’s new 3-screen monitor is latest addition to its sensor family

SMC has introduced the PSE300AC Series to the monitor market. It simplifies the remote monitoring of different types of sensors being used on a factory floor. Thanks to the display colours and screen layout, the PSE300AC allows three different items to be watched at the same time, enabling operators to view the status of applications at a glance. SMC, the worldwide leading expert in pneumatics, is helping customers to monitor their different remote sensor needs, with the launch of its PSE300AC. It displays different measurement units, so operators can place any sensor remotely on the factory floor. A spokesperson from SMC said: “The PSE300AC is a welcome addition to our sensor and switch range and has been designed to help simplify the monitoring process for our customers. Ease of use and accuracy of information received will give our customers detailed knowledge about the situation, quickly.” The PSE300AC is extremely versatile and can be coupled with any type of sensor – including SMC’s PSE5# and PF#5 series – used for pressure, flow or electrostatic. The monitor accepts 1-5 VDC or 4-20mA sensor input signals and features two selectable digital switch outputs, NPN or PNP, that give a signal when a key pressure or range is detected. What makes the PSE300AC so user friendly is its three screen, multi colour display that makes it very easy to check and set – 3-step, simple and detailed – as all you need to do is press a button to switch between them. The setting is straightforward, with clear screen labelling and selectable colours to indicate when the current value is correct or even incorrect. Featuring an IP65 enclosure, the PSE300AC offers complete protection against dust, oil and water splashes that makes the monitor robust and able to withstand harsh conditions such as machine tooling environments. In addition, the M12 front face connection reduces the amount of wiring, making it easy to install.

SMC merges its digital pressure switch range in 2018 under the same design

SMC is building on the success of its ZSE20(F)/ISE20 pressure switch range that features 3-screen display, 3-step setting mode and selectable delay time function, with the ZSE20(F)#/ISE20# (A, B and C). The extended series will help operators deliver efficiencies in terms of control and time saving. SMC is kickstarting 2018 by extending its ZSE20(F)/ISE20 digital switch range. The A, B and C variations share the original ZSE20(F)/ISE20’s display, setting, selectable delay time, as well as the lightweight and compact design. All models simplify the visualisation process for operators, while saving time as there are fewer push button operations to perform. The added variations also match the terms of enclosure, output type and media of the current series:  · A Model-> Current ZSE30(F)/ISE30A-> IP40, NPN/PNP and Analogue output  · B Model-> Current ZSE40(F)/ISE40A-> IP65, NPN/PNP and Analogue output  · C Model-> Current ZSE80(F)/ISE80-> IP65, NPN/PNP and Analogue output, for fluids. A spokesperson from SMC, the world’s leading expert in pneumatics, said: “Following the success of our ZSE20(F)/ISE20 pressure switch last year, we have taken the step to extend the range with these latest models. Customers have been particularly impressed with the functionality of design, its ease of use and accuracy of information that is readily available with minimal delay. They have found it both energy efficient and cost effective to operate.” Further flexibility and advantages of the ZSE20(F)#/ISE20# include the peak and bottom values are maintained, even if the power supply is cut, offering greater control in the process. Also, being compact and lightweight, the models not only deliver space savings, but due to the weight reduction there are less inert moments when the sensor is mounted in mobile applications such as robotic arms.

Speedy set-up guaranteed with new smc controllers

Two new in-line speed controllers from SMC have been unveiled which are quick and easy to set-up and operate. The in-line type AS features a new push-lock knob, offering simple locking and setting. The AS-FS comes with an indicator that allows for accurate adjustments. SMC, the world leader in pneumatics, has stepped up a gear to unveil two new in-line speed controllers, with and without an indicator, that complement the existing Elbow and Universal types. Both the AS and the AS-FS have been designed to give operators greater control, flexibility and cost savings. The AS speed controller has a push-lock type knob allowing operators to set the flow rate by hand and lock it into position without the need for giving it a wrench. Featuring a larger sized knob, it is easy to turn and make fine adjustments. With a variety of single and manifold mounting options, the product acts allows operators to build systems that operate with different pressures and flows. The in-line type speed controller with indicator provides precise adjustment of the flow rate, through the addition of a numerical display window and 90 degree markers in the push-lock handle rotation. In addition, the use of holes makes it an ideal speed controller for manifold configurations and, to allow flow direction to be easily identified, an identification label can be attached to the index plate. A spokesperson from SMC said: “These two latest new products from the SMC R&D team demonstrate that the simplest design improvements can make a huge difference to performance accuracy and operating efficiencies, reducing overall costs in terms of time and labour.” The AS and AS-FS feature different coloured release buttons for standard/stainless steel types and inch/metric tubing sizes, making handling much easier, whilst minimising the risk of human error.

SMC helps customers ‘EXpand’ their communications

The sharp growth in manufacturing automation and the adoption of the Industrial Internet of Things has seen a rise in interest for SMC’s serial interface solutions. To meet this demand for easy access to data and streamlined industrial communication highways, SMC has expanded its fieldbus EX portfolio creating a comprehensive range for a variety of applications. All provide considerable savings in terms of wiring, connectors, installation and set-up time through to generating electrical diagrams, labelling and documentation.   In addition, the EX range has been developed to be as versatile and ‘multi-lingual’ as possible as all the solutions are compatible with EtherNet-based and other common industrial protocols.  Furthermore, SMC’s fieldbus solutions are incredibly adaptable when it comes to machine upgrades or additional machine integration as it is possible to place any SMC valve manifold with the EX range and replace the valves without changing the SI units.  For example, the EX260 Series is a centralised and compact solution for solenoid valves, with up to 32 outputs.  For more complex control systems, the EX600 serial interface unit features 512 I/O points offering greater flexibility, with both digital and analogue input/output devices allowing various components to connect to it.  Efficiencies are achieved through self diagnosis, delivering easier maintenance and status and settings can be performed on a general purpose web browser thanks to a built-in web server function.  Alternatively, the EX500 is a decentralised Gateway fieldbus system for solenoid valves, with 128 I/O points and as many as four branches, each extending up to 20m long.  It also has the ability to conduct operations and diagnostics remotely, as well as the capacity to manage output devices other than manifolds, such as lights and buzzers, by using output blocks.
